UNSOLVED Mysteries fans have raged at a major oversight with hotel staff in missing Jennifer Fairgate’s case.
The second season of the hit Netflix series looks at a different case in each episode, and one is dedicated to Jennifer’s death in a hotel room in Oslo, Norway in 1995.

Jennifer was found in room 2805 of the Oslo Plaza Hotel with a bullet wound to the head, but what initially appeared to be suicide soon turned into something more sinister.
For a start, Jennifer might not even be her real name as she checked in with no ID and no other kind of identification or toiletries.
However, she had arrived with a ‘Lois Fairgate’, who had been acting strangely and was never seen again after check in.
While there was no sign of a struggle in the hotel room, Jennifer’s hand placement around the gun when she was found was described as ‘unusual’ and there were no signs of blood spots on her skin either, which an investigator said he had ‘never’ seen in suicide cases.

As the episode posed more questions about the circumstances around Jennifer’s death, viewers spotted a major oversight that could have provided some answers.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “How is it the staff who checked Jennifer in haven’t been questioned? Or the security guy who left the scene unattended just after she was shot? Why did it take a whole 15 mins before anyone went back to the room?? Too many questions.”
Another tweeted: “I’m sorry, did they not talk to the clerk who checked Jennifer Fairgate in, to find out why they registered her with no credit card or ID.
“I worked front desk at a hotel and if I did that I would have been the first one spoken to…and then promptly fired.”

A third added: “Why didn’t they found out who’s the receptionist who got Jennifer Fairgate’s info when she checked in? Wasn’t they supposed to have scheduled for the shift? Cameras? Anything? I thought it was a 5 stars Hotel in 1995.”
A fellow fan of the series wrote: “It’s strange how Jennifer was able to check in with no ID & 3 days into her stay a security guard knocked on her door & heard a gunshot at that exact moment and didn’t immediately call police. Props to the man searching for answers years later.”
