Piers Morgan has revealed the specific reason he turned down Strictly Come Dancing.
The Uncensored host claimed BBC bosses offered him a stint on the 2022 series, which was won by wildlife presenter Hamza Yassin.
This year, the likes of Les Dennis, Love Island’s Zara McDermott and EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier have taken to the dancefloor in the hopes of impressing judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood.
But Piers has given his strict reason for not joining them.
The 58 year old said: ‘Strictly asked me last year. There wasn’t enough money.
‘If you want me to humiliate myself on a dance floor, I was offered $150,000 by Dancing With The Stars in America when I was doing America’s Got Talent.

‘And I said, “Come back to me if it’s $1.2million.”‘
That salary might be out of the BBC’s reach though, as he added to The Sun: ‘They haven’t come back yet.’
When asked if he would reconsider the Beeb’s offer, the former Good Morning Britain host joked that he wouldn’t want to put the other celebs up against him ‘under that kind of pressure’.
Strictly isn’t the only reality competition Piers has turned down, as he last year rejected Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s cheeky request to ‘eat balls’ on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The previous series saw the likes of former health secretary Matt Hancock, pop icon Boy George and the camp’s first ever royal Mike Tindall have headed into the jungle, joining Lioness Jill Scott and Loose Women star Charlene White.
But before the stars had even headed into the jungle, Ant and Dec invited Piers on, to which he had a pretty blunt reply.
‘Thanks lads @antanddec but on balance I’d rather eat my own testicles,’ he penned.
