GREG James’ wife Bella Mackie has shared an update from hospital after being rushed in for surgery.
The Radio 1 presenter, 37, announced on Friday he would be missing from his show as he stayed at his wife’s bedside.

Greg told fans how Bella had been brought to hospital for urgent appendicitis surgery.
As worried fans expressed concern to the couple, Bella has since shared an update.
Taking to Instagram from her hospital bed, she revealed she was still waiting to have the operation.
Sharing a snap of her feet, Bella said: “Thanks for all your lovely messages.
“Still waiting for surgery but have compression socks firmly on.”
As Rise and Fall presenter Greg supported his wife, Jordan North stepped in to host his radio slot.
Bella had previously told fans: “In the morning I have to have surgery for appendicitis and I am terrified.
“If you’ve had this op and want to reassure me, that would be nice (only reassurance nothing else).”
She added “Today hasn’t been a classic tbh,” in her caption to go with the make-up free selfie from her bed.
Bella and Greg were married in a secret ceremony back in 2018 after she popped the question to the host.
Bella is a former journalist for the Guardian newspaper and online media platform Vice.
