The Voice USA winner Cartin Rubin will always be grateful to his coach Gwen Stefani for leading him to victory, and he’s got an offer to help show his appreciation.
The talented teen made history with the pop superstar as he became the first Team Gwen contestant to win the show.
Carter, 15, beat out competition from Team Blake’s Jim Ranger, but even Blake Shelton was happy to see his fiancée led the 15-year-old to victory.
Now Carter would love to do something special for the engaged couple as he joked he would happily offer up his services to be their wedding singer.
He told Metro.co.uk: ‘I think I should be the wedding singer, for sure. I think they should invite me and I would totally do that. I wish them all the best, they are going to be perfect as a married couple.’
Carter revealed how Blake reacted after the show’s finale as he recalled: ‘Blake was very happy that me and Gwen won together. He said if he could lose to anyone, he was glad it was me and Gwen. He just congratulated us and said he was really happy for me.’

The singer admitted he was still overwhelmed by his big win as he stated: ‘My feet still haven’t touched the ground. I’m still trying to comprehend what happened.
‘I’m just so grateful and blessed because there was so much talent this season and I can’t believe I got to perform on the same stage as them. The whole thing is just so crazy. I’m just honored that I got to work with Gwen.’

Gushing about his coach Gwen, he continued: ‘She’s such a phenomenal coach and a great motherly figure. Gwen’s just everything you can imagine, she’s awesome.
‘Something just felt so right at the time about working with Gwen and I had a feeling I we’d go far together. I knew we’d make a really good team and we did. It worked out, for sure.’
The singer revealed he’s now taking time to try and work on music. He stated: ‘Gwen told me that it’s the perfect time for me to start writing music and that’s definitely what I plan on doing.
‘I want to write and I want to get in the studio, and definitely record some music for me to put out there. Once the Covid pandemic is over, I really want to perform in front of live audiences again. I know a lot of artists really want that right now.’
The singer revealed his career hopes as he added: ‘I’d love to collab with Gwen again. I want to go down the pop contemporary lane like Lewis Capaldi, who is a huge influence of mine.
‘I just love the way he’s singing and I want my album to sound something a little like his. Definitely something in that lane like Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes… all of them.’
