NICOLE Kidman’s new drama, The Undoing, has barely been out a few hours, but fans are already getting hot under the collar for some of the show’s steamier moments.

Based on the novel, You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz, The Undoing follows the life of a successful therapist called Grace Fraser who has a devoted husband and a young son who attends an elite private school in New York City.
Her seemingly perfect life is challenged by a violent death, a missing husband and a chain of terrible revelations.
Grace’s no nonsense therapist is a bold and confident woman with a very positive attitude towards sex.
Grant plays Grace’s husband, Jonathan Fraser, and the couple share a very ‘healthy’ sex life.

In the first episode alone, Jonathan joins Grace in the shower because he does not want her to be alone.
The couple later have sex after he returns from work feeling emotional over a sick child he was unable to help.
Fans could not get enough of the couple’s romps and took to Twitter let off some steam.
One Twitter user wrote: “It’s fun and pulpy and feels like a 90s sex thriller.”

And another added: “Viking sex against the wall for the win, indeed!”
A third said: “#TheUndoing is absolutely going to get into an Eyes Wide Shut-esque storyline.”
Kidman starred in Eyes Wide Shut in Stanley Kubrick’s 1999 film alongside her then husband, Tom Cruise.
She opened up about how filming sex scenes can be important to a story, but how it can also easily become gratuitous.

“He (Kubrick) was like, ‘I’m going to want full frontal nudity,’ and I was like, ‘Ahh, I don’t know,’” Kidman told The New York Times.
“I didn’t say no to any of it. I’d wanted to make sure that it wasn’t going to be me standing there nude and everyone laughing at me.
“I was protected, so I got to explore a complicated marriage and the way in which Tom’s character is having those jealous images.
“I would never think of not wanting the storytelling to be told properly. Having them say, ‘Once you’re OK with it, great, that’s it’ – what a fantastic place to be in as a woman.”

But even 20 years later, women’s sexuality and empowerment was still a controversial subject.
“Sexuality is over here in a box, and we don’t deal with it. I’m happy to deal with it, but there needs to be a place where you can go. I’m not going to be exploited,” Kidman said.
“Then I’ll go down the road with you. I love the relationship between a director and an actor.
“When it’s pure, it’s exquisite. And the other actors, when you’re all there doing the work, it’s exquisite.”
