Strictly Come Dancing: Video shows how well Bill Bailey did last night

The choreographer of Bill Bailey’s breakout dance on Strictly Come Dancing last night has posted a video showing how well the comedian did in replicating the routine.

Everyone is still talking about ‘that’ dance from last night’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing – with Bill Bailey and his dance partner Oti Mabuse, who are one of the favourites for the show, earning 27 points for their Couples’ Choice routine to Rapper’s Delight.

Fair to say, they smashed it out the park.

To really appreciate the work that went into it, you should check out this video from the routine’s choreographer. Tommy Franzen, who was drafted in to design the dance for the song alongside Lizzie Gough, shared a video of the original.

The stripped-down clip was then placed next the performance Bailey and Mabuse put together.

The results are staggering! The routine is near exact with Bill Bailey keeping up with three professional dancers in impressive manner.

No wonder head judge Shirley Ballas gave them a perfect 10 for the routine.

Bailey later shared an image of him and Mabuse on Twitter in the beautiful suits they performed the dance in.

The tweet has already garnered 16k likes.

Bailey has been impressing since taking to the dance floor for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, quickly becoming a fan favourite.

The comedian also had to deal with tragedy this week after his dog Banjar died.

On the other end of the spectrum, JJ Chalmers and Max George are the odds on favourites to be sent home tonight.

Strictly’s results show, which filmed last night, will be on at 7:25pm tonight on BBC1.
