‘I’m lost for words, I couldn’t do it justice enough by saying.’
When it came to the scoring, she enthused: ‘It’s never too early for a 10,’ as she brandished the top score – leaving the pair screaming in delight.
However, while Shirley was clearly impressed, fans at home weren’t happy with the score – insisting the marks came too quickly in the show.

Flocking to Twitter, one screamed: ‘It’s never too earl-” IT IS TOO EARLY. #Strictly.’
‘Not at all 10 worthy….. I mean it was good but…. not that. #Strictly,’ a viewer fumed.
‘It is far too early for a ten, Shirley. #Strictly,’ another stated.
Others disagreed, adamant that HRVY’s perfect score from Shirley was definitely ‘deserved’.
‘Congratulations @HRVY @JManrara on getting the first 10 of the series,’ a Twitter user commented.
‘You were amazing and it was great to see you dancing to Dynamite by @BTS_twt #StrictlyIsDynamite.’
‘First 10 of the series @hrvy INCREDIBLE and well deserved #strictly,’ a fan agreed.
HRVY and Janette managed to get an incredible 27 – but it wasn’t enough to top the leaderboard.
Soon after the pair got the first 10, Clara Amfo and Aljaž Škorjanec got two 10s from Shirley and Anton du Beke – plonking them at the top with 29 marks.
Will that be enough to see them through to next week?
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday, at 7.25pm, on BBC One.
