Jamie and Karen failed to get the public votes to get through to the final on popularity alone – and had to perform their Salsa to Last Dance once again for the judges.
They were joined in the bottom two with Ranvir and Giovanni, who performed their Waltz to Waltz to Un Giorno Per Noi by Josh Groban.
The judges were split over who to save, with Craig Revel Horwood opting to save Jamie and Karen, while Motsi Mabuse saved Ranvir and Giovanni.
Eventually it was down to Shirley Ballas for the deciding vote, and she chose to save Jamie and Karen, leaving Ranvir and Giovanni out of the competition.
Jamie and Karen first landed in the bottom two back in week two, knocking out Jacqui Smith and Anton Du Beke.
They managed to remain safe until week six, when they beat Clara Amfo and Aljaz Skorjanec after falling into the dance-off once more.
Then in Musicals week last week, they went up against JJ Chalmers and Amy Dowden, who were then sent home.
The decision wasn’t an easy one, with all three judges looking emotional as they made their choice.
‘This is very difficult because I’ve grown to love both couples. I’m getting quite emotional now,’ Shirley told them. ‘Musicality, determination, conviction from both teams, they just gave their all.

‘But I just feel that one couple had a little more determination, a little bit more “I’m not leaving without that trophy” and with that in mind I’m saving Jamie and Karen.’
Jamie even joked on tonight’s episode that he had ‘appeared in more than 50% of this year’s dance offs’.
Strictly viewers weren’t happy Jamie and Karen were saved again, and spoke out in Ranvir’s defence.
Jamie and Karen are now in the final and will go head-to-head next week for the glitterball.
They’re joined by Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse, HRVY and Janette Manrara and Maisie Smith with Gorka Marquez.
They will all perform one last time next week to see who will emerge victorious.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6pm on BBC One.
