MATT Hancock and his aide Gina Coladangelo shared loving glances and glowing interviews while attempting to hide their affection for one another, experts say.
Since being made a non-executive director at the Department for Health in September, the pair have spent time together – with Mr Hancock confiding in her for “everything.”

She holds his jacket on May 16 2021 – 10 days after they were caught on CCTV in his office
Snapped ten days after the raunchy office kissing video was filmed, here Ms Coladangelo holds his jacket for him – which is a sign of their “special relationship.”
Body language expert Judi James told the Sun Online: “It is interesting and otherwise puzzling to see a woman in what seems like a good job happy to take the role of coat-carrier to her boss.
“In the modern business world this would be seen as overly submissive so could reflect a ‘special relationship’ between them where she is okay performing more nurturing duties.”
And here, the expert says that her closed-lip smile suggests approval and even affection.
But at the same time, the pair appear keen to avoid eye contact – in what could have been a telling “ignore” ritual so that people don’t assume anything is going on.

Working as his aide, Ms Coladangelo would often help at Mr Hancock’s press conferences – including this event at the BBC in December 2020.
The affectionate gaze from both parties is said to show their “silent communication.”
Judi James added: “Her unusually direct eye-gaze aimed at his face has produced an expression of what could be flattering admiration or even affection.
“This eye-contact is a very direct tie-sign of silent communication and her closed lips are puckered into what looks like a rather knowing smile of shared humour.”

A year before Gina was hired as Matt Hancock’s aide, the pair were seen sharing an umbrella on their way to a conference in September 2019.
Their body language is mirrored – showing their connection, according to the expert.
Judi James said: “This pose does reveal a much stronger tendency to mirror one another, suggesting like-minded thinking, with closer proximity and matching strides body movements and facial expressions.
“The head tilts and smiles look prompted by a shared conversation here and although their arms don’t appear to be touching they are both held back at the same angle.”

And here, the two are “totally aware that the cameras are there to catch Hancock” so they purposely create space between them, claims the expert.
Judi James said: “His facial expression suggests self-consciousness while she walks beside but at an exaggerated distance with her bag hanging on the shoulder in-between them in a barrier ritual.”
These types of barriers, she explains, is when feelings of guilt prompt the couple to over-performed “ignore” rituals – including exaggerated distancing techniques or lack of eye contact.
This obvious distancing is to cover signs of strong sexual attraction when colleagues know they can’t be caught together – but still have to interact with people around them.
Hancock, 42, is said to have begun his relationship with Coladangelo, 43, in May.
And a source told The Times that the relationship was “serious” and “not just a fling”.

A Whitehall source said Hancock “defers to her constantly” and that she plays a key role in everything from advising on policy to his image and briefing him before media appearances.
And last year when it was announced that she would be joining the Department as a non-executive, a source told the Sunday Times: “Before Matt does anything big, he’ll speak to Gina.
“She knows everything.”
Within the last month, she has frequently liked Matt Hancock’s Linkedin posts from her personal page – where he writes about vaccine numbers and NHS workers.
Ms Coladangelo is still Facebook friends with Mr Hancock’s wife – after they both graduated from the university at around the same time.
And the two families both live in London, with Ms Coladangelo in Wandsworth, while the Hancocks live six miles away in Queen’s Park.
Mr Hancock met Ms Coladangelo when they worked on Oxford student radio together in the 1990s – where he was a sports reporter on Oxygen FM.
The pair would have socialised together at Exeter College, Oxford and bonded over their shared course – Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
She was described as Mr Hancock’s “closest friend” from Oxford when he appointed her as an unpaid adviser last year.
And Mr Hancock has also spoken fondly of his days working alongside her on the radio station.
The married mum-of-three told BBC Radio 4’s Profile show how Hancock had told a “white lie” when he was a studying at Oxford University working on the student radio station.
During the programme, which originally aired on April 25, 2020, presenter Mark Coles described Coladangelo as Hancock’s “close friend of more than 20 years”.

Ms Coladangelo said she had met Hancock when the pair worked at Oxygen FM, revealing while she read the news Hancock read the sport.
She said: “I’ve always joked with him that he read the sport because he wasn’t good enough to do the news.
“But I think it gave him a bit of an early head’s up into aggressive questioning from journalists and hacks.”
Coladangelo went on to reveal how Hancock had told a “white lie” about watching a rugby match at Twickenham when in reality he was watching the game in a pub.
She said: “He got one of these special tickets to go and sit in the press box with all the other serious journalists at Twickenham to watch a big match.
“I think it was Australia vs England.
“He actually overslept and hot-footed it to the train but didn’t make it back to Twickenham from Oxford in time so Matt had to get off the train at Reading, find a pub, watch the first half and then go to phone box outside and report in.
“So he told a white lie, pretended he was at Twickenham watching the rugby when in fact he was in a pub in Reading.
“Successfully, no one ever found out.”
Their bombshell affair was revealed by The Sun after Matt Hancock was caught snogging Gina Coladangelo, 43, who he hired last year with taxpayers’ money, as Covid gripped Britain.
Mr Hancock, 42, and millionaire lobbyist Gina were caught on camera in a steamy clinch at his Whitehall office.
Whistleblowers revealed the Health Secretary had been spotted cheating on his wife of 15 years with married Ms Coladangelo.
He was seen kissing her at the Department of Health’s London HQ during office hours last month as the mutant strain began spreading.
And yesterday, Mr Hancock apologised for his actions, saying: “I accept that I breached the social distancing guidance in these circumstances.
“I have let people down and am very sorry.
“I remain focused on working to get the country out of this pandemic, and would be grateful for privacy for my family on this personal matter.”
A Whitehall whistleblower told The Sun it was “shocking that Mr Hancock was having an affair in the middle of a pandemic with an adviser and friend he used public money to hire”.
