NORMAL People has released a cringe-worthy deleted scene where Connell is grilled by his mum after a romp with Marianne.
The BBC drama was a huge hit earlier this year, following the secret on-off relationship between Connell (Paul Mescal) and Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones).

The series is now available on DVD, and one of the extras is an awkward deleted scene between Connell and his mum, Lorraine.
Connell almost chokes on his breakfast when Lorraine asks him why he has put his bed sheets in the wash while she was away.
Connell, who had a steamy sex session with Marianne, was horrified as his mother closed in on his secret, especially as she is a cleaner for Marianne’s family and could reveal their secret relationship to everyone.
Thankfully, Connell went from ghostly white to red-faced as his mum had an awkward conversation with him about contraception.

Lorraine then cheekily asked the name of his lover before leaving the mortified teen in the kitchen with a laugh.
The deleted scene comes after Daisy, 22, posted a hilarious blooper reel with co-star Paul, 24.
The clip, which was posted to Daisy’s Instagram, shows the duo breaking down in hysterics as they continue to fluff their lines while filming a scene in a car.
Paul attempts to say the line: “The fact that the people of Ballyfad don’t let people die until they are at least 117 is one of its most notable features.”

But before he is able to finish both he and his English co-star Daisy, 22, break down into peels of laughter.
The clip shows the duo continuing to erupt into fits of giggles as they try to complete the scene, and it reveals to fans the immensely fun time the cast must have had on set.
Normal People is now available on DVD and can be streamed on BBC iPlayer
