Nickelback has brought back the Photograph meme and absolutely run with it for a new Google advert.
The stars – Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger, and Daniel Adair – ‘reimagined’ their classic hit, mocking Chad’s ever-changing hairstyles and comparing his blonde locks to a ramen bowl.
The clip, of course, begins with Chad holding up a photo on a phone instead of a physical copy, as he sings the opening lines: ‘Look at this photograph/Every time I do, it makes me laugh.’
However, the lyrics are significantly switched up from then on, as the 46-year-old sings: ‘Must have shot about a million more/Of my dessert but I don’t know what for.’
While the video shows some old snaps of the band, the song goes on: ‘Falling down the rabbit hole/Is it my hair or just a ramen bowl?’
‘Every memory regretting all my hairstyles/If you wove it all together it would go for miles,’ Chad sings.

Clearly unable to resist one more reference to the Photograph meme, the last shot of the clip is Chad holding up a photograph of himself holding up a phone with ‘Google Photos’ on the screen.
The Photograph meme has been around for years, with fans editing different pictures onto the photograph that Chad holds up in the music video.
The video comes after the band teased a return earlier this year – and people weren’t having any of it.
Despite fans speculating that they would be releasing their 10th album, the teasers ended up being for the band releasing a cover of The Devil Went Down to Georgia.
However, they’ve previously said there’s no timeline for the release of their next album – so fans could be waiting for quite some time.
