They were famed for their release Human Clay – which remains one of the best-selling albums of all-time.
It also featured Grammy Award-winning track With Arms Wide Open on the track-list.
The group’s third album Weathered was released in 2001, yet they disbanded shortly after.
Now 50, singer Scott looks completely different.
The Florida-born star has opted for a close-crop grey spiked hairstyle compared to his lengthy brunette locks in the band’s hey day.
He has switched oversized tops and jeans for skin-fit black T-Shirts to show off his honed figure.
It signals his new image for his solo album, Higher Power, which he released last month.
Yet Creed – who officially re-formed in July – are also set to reveal new material.
They will showcase old and new tracks at the Summer of 99 Cruise Festival in 2024.
Meanwhile, Scott’s experienced of fame has had its pitfalls.
In 2004, he was battling alcohol and drug addictions and even shot his house up with a gun.
Prior to turning sober and his diagnosis of Bipolar Disease in 2015 – which came following a psychotic breakdown – he contemplated suicide in 2003 and placed two guns to his head.
Scott said at the time he believed Creed fans to be after him and admitted he thought of being a “Kurt Cobain martyr-type” referring to Nirvana’s late singer.
He added: “I had crazy thoughts going through my head.
“I was in the throes of prednisone coming out of my body.
“I shot a few rounds off and instantly was like, ‘What the hell am I doing?’ So I put the guns away and ran out to the garage and got the putty and patched the holes.”
After getting himself clean, both his solo and Creed careers are now flourishing.
Recently one Noughties band revealed they were reuniting for a very bittersweet reason.
The original group that backed Amy Winehouse at the height of her fame will come together for a special gig to mark what would have been the late singer’s 40th birthday later this year.
Back To Black singer Amy tragically passed away from alcohol poisoning, aged 27, in 2011.
Meanwhile, a huge Los Angeles band recently announced their reunion – and a fresh Stateside tour.
And a Noughties rocker looks completely different now compared to his chart fame heyday.
While this Noughties indie rocker traded in fame for a very normal job.
A hit boyband from the era also told this week how they are releasing their first pop song together in 22 years.
