Rugby player Jacques couldn’t resist making a jab at the pair during an Instagram Live with Luca Bish on Sunday where he said, sarcastically: ‘They seem to get on really well, they seem very happy together.’
Luca then chipped in and said in a mocking tone: ‘Glad the mum approves,’ to which his co-star quipped: ‘Yeah, well her mum seems really fond of Adam so you know.’
But it seems as though Adam, who enjoyed a romantic ice cream date with Paige amid Jacques’s dig, is having the last laugh.
In a tweet from an unofficial Twitter account that appears to be run by the personal trainer, he responded: ‘Humble in defeat our kid, chin up x’
Of course, Love Island fans will remember how Jacques quit the ITV2 show after struggling with his mental health in the aftermath of Casa Amor.

The professional rugby player spent days trying to win back his partner Paige after it was revealed he kissed Cheyanne Kerr during Casa Amor week.
But moments after Jacques wrote a groveling letter of apology, Adam, who previously appeared in the fourth series of the show, made his dramatic return and immediately made a play for Paige.
Jacques then left the villa after an explosive head-to-head, and it wasn’t long before Paige and Adam recoupled together.

They soon became exclusive before being dumped from the villa right before the final.
Reflecting on whether she would have left with Jacques, Paige previously admitted: ‘It did cross my mind a little bit to leave with him, but things hadn’t been 100% all the way through, and the fact that they weren’t was what made me think.
‘The fact that I stayed and I gave 100% to the experience and found something new and something more suited towards me just goes to show that everything happens for a reason.’
Love Island is available for catch-up on the ITV Hub.
