The broadcaster, 54, often ends the week on the breakfast programme alongside Ben Shephard.
But she was missing from the line-up on the latest show and was instead replaced by Charlotte Hawkins.
She returned to TV this morning for her pre-recorded show Garraway’s Good Stuff and addressed her recent absence from GMB on her social media.
In view of her 1.1 million Instagram followers, Kate said: ’So apologies for my absence from @gmb this last week – had to deal with some “urgents” at home – but before that managed to get a whole hour dollop of #garrawaysgoodstuff in the bag for you.

Kate shared a clip alongside the caption of herself and singer Peter Andre jumping up and down on mini-trampolines.
‘Note to self – wear a sports bra – note to @peterandre – wear a belt. Join me 8.30 a.m on @itv,’ she joked.
The TV star didn’t go into further detail about what was going on at home but has been open about caring for her husband Derek Draper, 54, amid his ongoing health issues.

Derek contracted Covid back in 2020 and has been receiving constant medical attention ever since.
Fans quickly offered up well wishes to the much-loved presenter, with one writing on Instagram: ‘Do hope everything is ok.’
‘Hope all OK Kate. Lovely to meet you at the care awards last month x,’ said someone else.
Another echoed: ‘Hope everything was OK @kategarraway …Can actually watch this morning as on holiday! Have a great weekend! Sending you lots of love.’

It comes after Kate was given an emotional surprise last week when she met and embraced a nurse who she discovered had cared for her husband Derek in hospital.
The former political lobbyist suffered organ damage as a result of his illness, with Kate releasing documentaries called Finding Derek and Caring For Derek about his experience and what it’s been like looking after him since his return home.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
