According to new figures released before she entered Gwrych Castle, Louise, 53, recorded earnings of £194,530 via her firm Voluntdad Productions.
A source told The Sun: “Louise is incredibly hardworking and despite leaving the BBC Breakfast sofa she remains in high demand on TV. Win or lose on I’m A Celeb she’s a had a good year.”
Details of Louise’s company success comes days after it emerged she had been suffering from a life-altering condition called Raynaud’s Syndrome.
The disease affects blood circulation to the fingers and toes and means they lose colour and feeling – and can be affected by the cold.
She previously shared a photo of her hands after symptoms flared up as she thanked her fans for their support and suggestions of remedies.
“Thanks to all you fellow Raynaud’s sufferers I am taking up some of your suggestions for remedies,” Louise wrote. to social media. “It’s not even cold today and my hands have gone strange shades.”
Speaking of the condition in her memoir, she said: “I feel the cold really badly, I have this thing called Raynaud’s Syndrome, which means my hand and feet go numb very quickly, even in supermarkets. So cold is a big thing for me.”
It’s meant that Louise has been left banking on her “luxury item” in the ITV castle to keep herself warm and her symptoms at bay in the I’m A Celeb camp.
“I’m really delighted with my luxury item,” she said. “I have brought with me a fluffy hot water bottle that actually belongs to my daughter.
“So not only is it going to be very helpful to keep me warm, but it’ll also remind me of home.”
Louise also revealed how she prepared for her time in the castle by practising certain skills and has watched old tapes of I’m A Celebrity’s infamous eating trials.
She added: “I’ve been really calm when I see spiders.
“For example, I was sleeping outside the other day and a spider was on my hand and normally I would’ve screamed and jumped the mile. I’m like, ‘no, no’.
“I’ve never tried to eat any of those disgusting things that they eat so I’m not looking forward.
“In preparation, I very foolishly watched hours of the eating challenges and even the one where Ant and Dec did it and they couldn’t even do it.
“And I just shouldn’t have done that because when I sat on the sofa, they’ve seemed funny, but now I’ve actually looked at them and thinking, ‘Right, I’ve got do them. They’re not funny at all. They’re absolutely disgusting.’”
