I’m A Celebrity runner-up Jordan North has spilled the beans about the nifty hack campmates would use to stop private conversations making it to air.
Jordan returned to BBC Radio One today after finishing his time in the Welsh castle, to talk about his experience, Happy Place Turf Moor, and the insider gossip.
And during his chat with Greg James, Jordan revealed how exactly he found out the more salacious gossip – and why it never appeared on screen.
He explained: ‘We were told we couldn’t sing Queen, The Beatles, or Disney because we can’t get them cleared, it means they couldn’t get the rights.’
‘So, if we were having a conversation that we didn’t want to go on air, we’d have a conversation, and we’d get someone in the background to sing, “I want to break free”,’ he laughed.
‘I’d be there with Shane Richie going “Is he really like that!? Oh, I’ve always loved him on telly” and he’s going “God, he’s nothing like what you see of him”.

‘Then you’ve got Vernon [Kay] in the background going “Hey Jude! Don’t let me dowwwwwn” and then we’d know it wouldn’t go on air.’
Pretty genius if you ask us!
Jordan became a runaway favourite on the series as he overcame his fears on the show, ending up in a race to the crown that was so tight even bookies didn’t want to call it.

Eventually, Giovanna Fletcher was declared the winner, with Jordan coming in second.
‘There’s so many things I want to do in the next year. And I’m not going to live in this little safe lane,’ he said. ‘Now I’m going to go out and do so many things and that’s because of this experience.
‘I know I’ve been harping on loads, but thank you to all the radio listeners who got behind me and all your lovely messages, it really is overwhelming and very humbling.’
