Victoria Derbyshire is said to have signed up for the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in Wales.
According to reports, the BBC broadcaster accepted the invitation after hearing the show had relocated from Australia to the UK due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This year’s competition will take place at Gwrych Castle and will be going ahead despite Wales returning to full lockdown.
‘Victoria is always game for a challenge so when she was approached for I’m A Celebrity she jumped at the chance,’ a source said.
‘It’s always something she’s wanted to do but because of her family she’s never wanted to fly to Australia and be away from them for so long.
‘When the show moved to Wales and the opportunity came up, she didn’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth so said yes straight away.’

The insider continued to The Sun: ‘Victoria is really looking forward to the challenges and to getting started on the show.’
In January, the BBC axed Victoria’s series The Victoria Derbyshire Show after five years on the air.
Victoria, 52, demanded the decision was reversed and hit out at the network’s Editorial Director, Kamal Ahmed.
‘Investigations matter. Original journalism matters. @BBCNews,’ he wrote to his 92,000 followers.
And when quoting Kamal’s tweet, Victoria added: ‘Do reconsider the decision to close our programme then.’
Since this year’s I’m A Celebrity series was announced there have been lots of rumours as to who will be among the star-studded line-up – including the likes of Rob Kardashian and Scott Disick from Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Other names include Tiger King’s Carole Baskin and former Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard.
Metro.co.uk has contacted Victoria’s rep for comment.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns to ITV in November.
