The stars were sitting around the campfire swapping family tales, as Vernon told the adorable tale of the time his older daughter Phoebe realised the Strictly Come Dancing host was the very woman she called mummy.
He said: ‘When Phoebe was watching Strictly with me, I used to dress up in a suit at first when she was young and we’d dance together so she’d put a princess dress on.
‘I’d wear a suit and when they were all dancing around we’d replicate that and just out the blue one evening she said: “Daddy, is my mummy Tess Daly?”
‘Because we’d never really explained that mummy works on the telly because obviously mummy’s mummy.’
Adorable – though we wonder how Phoebe, now 16, felt when she watched Vernon share her childhood naivete with all of Britain.

Beverley’s grandson wondered why his nan was dressed like ‘Sexy Gaga’ (Picture: ITV/REX)
Coronation Street star Beverley Callard could relate, recalling the moment her grandson first saw her on the long-running soap.
She shared: ‘My grandson, when he saw Liz McDonald, he was about six or seven and they don’t watch Coronation Street or anything because it’s like homework, and then bedtime and all that anyway.
‘It came on TV and [my daughter] Rebecca just said to George, “Oh George look there’s grandma!” and he went, “Oh My God, why is grandma dressed like Sexy Gaga?!”’

Sexy Gaga. You’re slaying us, George.
Meanwhile, Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah’s story tugged at everyone’s heartstrings – it turns out his four kids really, really want their dad to win his races.
‘One of them does get really upset when I don’t win or something doesn’t happen, she cries and stuff like that,’ he confessed.
‘But they enjoyed it like the one thing they never forget like 2017 on the track when I was on the track I took all of them, Hussain on my shoulders, the twin girls, and Rihanna, all of them just did a lap of honour afterwards that was the most amazing.’
He added: ‘My family’s the most important thing ever for me. It’s what makes me happy, it’s what drives me every day. Everything I do is for them.
‘Everything we do is together. I’ll get through a bad patch, I have a bad race, that’s what gets you through more than anything in the world.’
We’re not crying – wait, yes we are.
