Illy – actual identify Alasdair Murray – has taken to Fb to share a prolonged assertion detailing his expertise with a cyber-stalker, saying he and his associates endured nearly two years of “malicious abuse”.
Because the Melbourne-native rapper explains, the unnamed perpetrator created over 50 social media accounts to harass Illy, “[my] ex companions, my household [and] associates, the report label I’m signed to, and notably my girlfriend, her associates, and her enterprise”.

To feign legitimacy, the stalker used their numerous accounts to “work together” with one another, which included replying to their very own feedback underneath totally different names.
“Aside from the standard shit,” Illy mentioned in his submit, “They included lies, publishing addresses, false noise complaints to police, and makes an attempt to hurt our careers and private relationships.
“Not responding, particularly when it was hurting these closest to me, has been troublesome. It began affecting my day after day mentality, and that of these round me. Coping with the injury to self-worth, goal, and profession [the coronavirus pandemic] induced, mixed with seeing myself and [people] I care about subjected to this poison, has been lots.”
Illy goes on to clarify that after a 12 months of back-and-forth with police, his stalker had been visited and “made recognized they’d been recognized” on Tuesday evening (August 3), noting that “that the one purpose they weren’t being charged is as a result of we determined to not”.
He continued: “We figured because it stands, the humiliation of understanding that we all know who you’re, and the way a lot effort and time you set in (critically, it’d be spectacular if it wasn’t so, so embarrassing), was punishment sufficient.”
