Gogglebox is one of the only programmes that was able to resume filming during the coronavirus pandemic, with many viewers praising the show for getting them through a difficult time.
Instead of having camera crews in their homes to film the series, the cast had special cameras rigged up in their houses so that they didn’t come in contact with any of the production team.
During the summer, the Channel 4 series was hit with a number of Ofcom complaints because viewers felt the cast weren’t adhering to social-distancing guidelines.
However, stepping into defend themselves, Channel 4 reassured viewers they were taking all safety measures to keep everyone safe.
Metro.co.uk has reached out to Studio Lambert and Channel 4 for comment.
Gogglebox airs on Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
