A RANDY horse got so turned on during filming of the first Game Of Thrones sex scene it had to be reshot.
The colt was in the background of the show’s pilot episode when dragon-charmer character Daenerys Targaryen – originally played by actress Tamzin Merchant before she was replaced by Emilia Clarke – is seduced by Khal Drogo, played by Jason Momoa.

Game Of Thrones writer George R. R. Martin said they thought the horse they had in the scene was a female – but soon discovered it was male when the actors started simulating sex.
The 72-year-old writer added: “Dany and Drogo don’t have the same language.
“Dany is a little scared but also a little excited, and Drogo is being more considerate. The only words he knows are ‘Yes’ or ‘no’.
“So we’re by this little brook. They tied the horses to the trees and there’s a seduction scene by the stream.

“Jason Momoa and Tamzin are naked and ‘having sex’. And suddenly the video guy starts to laugh. The silver filly was not a filly at all. It was a colt.
“And it was getting visibly excited by watching these two humans. There’s this horse in the background with this enormous horse schlong. So that didn’t go well.”
George told the tale in a new book on the making of Game Of Thrones, Fire Cannot Kill A Dragon, written by US journalist James Hibberd who spent years interviewing cast and crew on the sets of the hit HBO show.
He added the sex scene was later reshot with Emilia Clarke – and changed to a rape described in the show as customary ritual of Jason’s character’s fictional Dothraki people.

George said: “In the Emilia Clarke version, it’s rape. It’s not rape in my book, and it’s not rape in the scene as we filmed it with Tamzin Merchant. It’s a seduction.”
Emilia’s GoT co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau last week branded the rape scene “tough and degrading” for the London actress.
But she has praised Jason, 41, for taking care of her during the scene, saying: “He took care of me in an environment where I didn’t know I needed to be taken care of.
“Jason was an experienced actor who had done a bunch of stuff before coming onto Game of Thrones.
“He said, ‘This is how it’s meant to be and how it’s not meant to be. I’m going to make sure that’s not the case’.
“So he was always like, ‘Can we get her a robe? She’s shivering!’”
