Already distraught that her boyfriend Jags had been wrongfully sentenced to four years in prison for battering Martin Fowler, Habiba believed the Panesar family, which includes her sister’s girlfriend Ash, covered up the truth over Jag’s arrest.
Vinny hit Martin over the head but evil mum Suki did the unthinkable and got Jags arrested instead, who played no part in the incident.
That was the last straw as Habiba, nicknamed by her sister as Habs, packed up her things and headed for a cab, but was stopped by a shocked Iqra.
Habiba forced her sister to choose her or Ash, and when Iqra refused to end her relationship, she made her exit from Albert Square, leaving Iqra stunned.

After hearing Masood wanted to give up his part of Walford East before he left, Habiba and Iqra were able to persuade Masood to let them look after his half of the company with their devious tricks.
The actress’s biggest storyline saw her character involved in an affair with Honey Mitchell’s ex Adam Bateman.
After refusing to believe what was happening for long time, Honey eventually heard Adam admit what he had done, and ended their relationship.
