BTS and Coldplay team up and take on mysterious aliens in the futuristic video for their joint single My Universe.
Both groups have gone to town with the world building, setting the video in outer space in a time when music is ‘forbidden’ across the universe.
Three groups – Bangtan, Coldplay and another group made up of alien creatures – are defying the law to perform together with a little help from DJ Lafrique who, on board her alien ship, uses a device called Holoband to unite them virtually.
However there is danger on the horizon as the musicians are hunted by ‘the silencers’ who will do anything in their power to make sure there is no music. The killjoys.
Chris Martin and the group open the video with a performance before being connected with BTS, who sing, celebrate and dance in what looks like the ruins of a ship.
They are all later transported to rock out with the third group, looking free and happy as they express themselves with their music.
Thanks to the passionate fans of both bands, My Universe is on track to become BTS’ highest-charting UK single to date.

The Official Charts Company say that as of Sunday, the song is at number 2, and is a mere 1000 sales behind Shivers by Ed Sheeran.
Should My Universe stay in the second spot it will be the Clocks singers’ highest-charting single since Something Just Like This in 2017. For BTS it would be their highest-charting single in the UK so far, having previously reached number 3 last year with Dynamite.
The song will feature on Coldplay’s upcoming album Music Of The Spheres, released on October 15.
