Four new men arrived to greet Tayshia Adams to kick off her season as the new Bachelorette on Tuesday’s episode.
However, eagle-eyed fans will have noticed that the suitors were familiar faces because they had originally been cast for Clare Crawley.
When the original line-up for Clare’s season was revealed in July, Peter Giannikopoulos, Noah Erb, Montel Hill, and Spencer Roberston were all on the 42-man list.
However, they didn’t make the cut as only 31 men were chosen to join the hairstylist when filming began weeks later.
Naturally, the men were thrilled – and very surprised – when they got the call giving them a second chance to star on the show.
An insider told US Weekly at the time: ‘Last weekend, producers reached out to backup Bachelorette contestants who had been vetted for Clare’s season but were ultimately not cast to film at La Quinta.
‘When producers reached back out, out of the blue, it was very apparent that something had happened with production.’
They soon found out that Clare got engaged to contestant Dale Moss after two weeks of filming, and phlebotomist Tayshia was now the woman they would get to woo.
Here’s a little refresher of the new guys in the mansion.
