Alicia Silverstone brought the nostalgia (Picture: TikTok/Alicia Silverstone)
Alicia Silverstone has given us all the 90s nostalgia fix we needed by joining TikTok with a recreation of an iconic Clueless scene.
The Cher Horowitz actress donned her yellow plaid jacket and, with some help from her 10-year-old son Bear, got right back into character.
‘Ew get off of me!’ she lip-synced as she flung Bear away from her. ‘Ugh, as if!’
However, the 44-year-old couldn’t resist giving the little one a huge hug afterwards.
‘Ugh! As if… I wouldn’t join TikTok. 😉💛😘,’ she wrote in the caption and we are so ready for her to take over our feed.
The actress starred alongside Paul Rudd (Josh), the late Brittany Murphy (Tai), and Stacey Dash (Dionne) in the well-loved 1995 flick, which is loosely based on Jane Austen’s Emma.
Over 25 years on from its release, it is still considered one of the best teen movies of all time, and in 2018, it was announced that it was being remade into a drama series.
Looking back on the iconic film, casting director Marcia Ross also recalled the first time Alicia and Paul read together – and how special the moment was.
Josh was going to be played by another actor because Paul Rudd ended taking a part in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers while casting was still going on.
But fortunately, he was able to come back into the mix afterwards, and after he read with Alicia there was no going back.
‘It was the first time Alicia was wearing her plaid outfit and it was just so special. As soon as they read together it was just so obvious,’ Marcia told Metro.co.uk
‘The chemistry was instant, the connection was just there. They were just great together. You couldn’t deny he was the right person to play Josh.’
