Rather than using shampoo and then conditioner, she explained that there is a better way to achieve luscious locks – especially if you have an oily scalp.
Her first tip was to change up your routine and condition, using conditioner before shampoo.
She said: “This trick is great for anyone with greasy scalp that need to wash your hair more often, but at the same time worries about the damage effecting on their hair from frequent hair washing.”
According to the content creator, this can protect your hair from becoming dried out or damaged – even with more frequent washing.
She also urged fans to be careful about how they applied any conditioning product and urged them to only apply it at the ends, to stop any build up.
“Apply the conditioner to only the ends of your hair before you shampoo and this essentially acts like a shield…protecting your hair,” she explained, adding that you can then rinse it out before continuing with your normal hair routine.
Unsurprisingly, the simple hair hack has amazed fans who been battling lacklustre hair for decades.
Some even revealed that they’d tried the method, with the hair being transformed simply by switching up their wash cycle.
“Yes I do this every time I wash my hair. It’s wonderful! My hair has improved and is so shiny and smooth now. Will never wash the old way again!” gushed one impressed fan in the comments.
The hack isn’t just for those that struggle to keep oil at bay, with Dr Jenny also telling fans that tip is great for reviving your locks after a dip in the pool.
In the caption, she wrote: “Also great trick for those that swim often to protect hair from pool water!”
For those still struggling to tame their mane, you can always add a little dry shampoo before going to bed to give your hair a much needed boost in the morning.
Ideal for those who get greasy quickly or need an extra bit of volume, we recommend using this hack sparingly to avoid any nasty product build.
