A DOCTOR has shared her frustrations at always being mistaken for a child, whether that be at work or at the supermarket.
Taylor Denni Gill is 27 years old, but often gets mistaken for someone 17 years her junior.

And after it happened one too many times, she took to her social media to complain about the annoyance.
Sitting in a grey jumper underneath her scrubs, she wrote: “When a patient asks me ‘is it bring your kid to work today’”.
She then sat in silence, blinking a few times to show her disbelief and frustration over receiving comments like this.
“Mam I work here,” she wrote in the caption.
And in a second clip, she responded to someone’s comment, who said: “Without makeup on I was asked why my old boss hired a child. I’m 30 lolllll”.
She replied: “I totally understand how you feel and I wanted to talk about it a little bit. This is like the biggest struggle for me.”
TikTok user @taydenni explained that she’s unable to do “normal, regular things” without being stared at by onlookers.
She shared: “I was literally grocery shopping the other day and some woman comes up to me and literally says, ‘Are you ok? Are you a child?’
“I was like what the f**k? Who asks that? The things that people think they can just come up to me and say blow my mind…”
This is also a situation that crops up when she visits a bar to get a drink as she said: “If I wasn’t 21, do you think that they would let me have a drink there?”
She went on to explain that many people on social media say she looks older in some ways, but she argued that she’s quite a “small” person.
“When you see me in person, I look extremely young for my age,” she said.
“And I get it, but it’s not an excuse to tell grown a** adults they look like kids. It’s not ok. It’s not a compliment. It’s not.”
She said people also come up to her to ask what size trousers she wears, but act upset if you ask the question back.
Taylor said it’s “not ok” to just say whatever you want to people and urged people to think before they speak.
People were quick to comment on the post as one person wrote: “Girl same! Im about to be 24. I’m 5’1” about 100 lbs. And I get told I look anywhere from 10-14 all the time!!! I get 12 way to much! It’s insane!”
Another shared: “I’m 4’9” and have this problem all the time too! Especially since I’m married and want kids”.
And a third added: “I feel you. I am 35 and a principal in my company said quote, « I don’t know if you’ve ever had a job before or not.”
