YOU might notice on your Instagram or TikTok feed that thousands of Brits have been flying to Turkey for cosmetic procedures which are half the price than in the UK.
However, what some people aren’t showing is the aftercare or how they are recovering from the procedure.

Melanie Peace, from Ireland, took to TikTok to share her experience after getting her teeth done in Turkey.
Appearing to look swallowing, and finding it difficult to speak in the videos, which have been viewed by thousands of people, she explained how the procedure is “not for the faint hearted.”
In one video, Melissa, who has bruising and swelling around her entire face, spoke about how she felt 10 days on from the treatment.
She said: “It’s actually been a full week since my operation.
“I’ve had two sinus lift bone grafts put in both sides and implants bottom and the top.”
She explains that her front original teeth have been filed down, and it has caused her mouth to be “very sensitive” because she claimed they took all the enamel off.
Melissa continued: “It’s so sensitive, I can’t drink tea or coffee or anything like that.

“But I am trying to eat and drink lukewarm things which aren’t severe on the nerves.
“My bruising must have been the sinus lift i’m not sure.
“They were using a hammer, and knocking the bone up with the instruments.
“Tapping on the bone which is obviously going to cause bruising and swelling.
“It was a bit like a torture chamber.
“Because you are lying on the chair and they are coming at you with different tools for each job they need to do at the time.

“It’s a very daunting experience actually, I came out in shock.
“But there’s nothing you can do, you just have to go through that procedure.
“If you’re getting it done in the UK I would imagine that they would do it in stages and so you wouldn’t be getting all of that work done at one time.
“So it would be a bit easier.
“In Turkey obviously it’s cheaper and that is why I picked that option but it’s harrowing because you are getting all that work done at one time.”
