A WOMAN who’s been cruelly trolled for her skin has revealed how to cover acne-prone skin on a budget using bargains from Superdrug.
Acne is one of the most common skin conditions in the world, with a staggering 34 per cent of the adults in the UK experiencing this at some point in their lives.

Someone to know a little about this is beauty enthusiast Quetta Lawson, who regularly shares tips and tricks on how to wear make-up with acne, as well as videos on skincare and Get Ready With Me clips.
Now raising awareness about the condition, Quetta, who used to be called a ”Rice Krispie head”, took to TikTok to demonstrate how to cover the painful blemishes without forking out a fortune.
The best part? Not only are all the products affordable, but the young woman insisted they’re all available at Superdrug – and there’s no need to order anything online.
”Walk into the shop and you’ve got all the bits you need!” Quetta claimed in the video.
Skin prep buys
According to the beauty enthusiast, the first key step is prepping and nourishing your skin – and for this, the stunner used e.l.f. Illuminating Eye Cream, which is priced at £9.99.
”This is gonna help your undereye concealer sit flawlessly and not crease throughout the day.”
Next up, she went on, was hydrating skin using hyaluronic acid, which is important to apply onto a damp face.
In her clip, Quetta used E.L.F. Dewy Coconut Setting Mist – a £9 bargain buy that will help you achieve that perfect dewy look.
To finish this, she also went in with their Holy Hydrate 3 x Bounce Serum, which you can snap up for £11.99, as well as Weleda Skin Food Light moisturiser that’s selling for a fiver.
”If you have super dry skin, try the normal version. But the Light is good for me.
”This also sits really nicely under make-up and really hydrates the skin underneath.”
Primers
Once done with your skincare, it’s time to move onto primers – and here the Superdrug fan was raving about a few options, including NYX Professional Makeup Plump Right Back Primer Serum (£15).
Not only does it make your make-up products last all day long, the bargain buy also ”smells really good”, she added.
Make-up
Next, time for creating the ultimate base to even out the skin tone – and if you don’t feel like wearing heavy foundation, Quetta advised to look into skin tints.
0ne such option is the cult favourite Maybelline Superstay Skin Tint – priced at £12.99, this make-up must-have comes in a range of colours and the vegan-friendly formula boasts vitamin C.
Praising the budget-friendly find, Quetta said: ”This is really nice, really buildable.
”It’s a really beautiful formula, I use Shade 2 for reference.”
However, if you prefer a more full coverage, the make-up fanatic mentioned another alternative – Collection Hydra Serum Foundation, which can be purchased for £7.99.
After applying the product, it was time to give the face more definition and this she achieved by going with with a bronzer.
Although the high-street retailer offers a variety of different finds, Quetta decided to bronze up her face with e.l.f. Putty Bronzer Feelin Shady, a small pot of which will set you back by £6.
Meanwhile, for concealer, she was most impressed with the Rimmel Multi Tasker Concealer.
Speaking of the £8.99 find, which has received over 1.7k reviews on Supedrug website, Quetta said she recommended it to everyone.
”I think it’s so good.”
Next, it was time for some rosy blush – and again, she was raving about the e.l.f. Putty range, which comes in a range of shades, from the more pinky tones to the more coral options.
All chuffed with the results so far, Quetta was ready to set it all in, and to complete the look she went in with the Studio London U MATTE-R Setting Spray Matte (£5).
”This is so slept on, I don’t know why more people don’t talk about this.
”Smells a bit weird but it’s so, so good, so it makes up for it.”
If you’re on the lookout for budget-friendly powder products, Quetta also had some options she recommended checking out, such as the Collection Bronze Glow bronzer (£3.99), Collection Blusher (£2.99), as well as the e.l.f. Baked Highlighter (£5).
Fellow make-up lovers raced to comments, where one said: ”You have incredible eyes! Love your videos!”
Someone else shared their top bargain buy: ”fit me loose powder is my absolute holy grail!!”
”you look so pretty your make up is stunning,” a third chimed in.
