But others suffering from hair loss wanted a bit of her follicle success.
What, they have begged, has she used to bring her locks back to health again.
Victoria (@vrnightwolf) has kicked her bald patch into the dust with this product from the online retailer, starting from around $15.
“Decided to use Minoxidil from Amazon on my bald spot two weeks ago,” she said in her post.
The results exceeded all her expectations.
“My hair in that spot has grown three inches,” she said, demonstrating with before and after photos.
New growth was sprouting across the bald spot.
She moved on to other oils once hair was established.

“I only used Minoxidil until I got a couple of centimeters of growth and used rosemary oil, castor oil, and jojoba oil as well.”
It received a 55% five-star rating by reviewers on Amazon.
One shared their experience: “Good buy. Only been using this product for a few days and so far I am pleased with it. Hopefully it stays that way.”

Another’s reaction was more circumspect: “One of the primary reasons I decided to try this hair growth spray was its promise to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss.
“It’s important to note that the product does not promise immediate results, but I was hoping to see some improvement.”
Minoxidil is FDA-approved to treat female pattern baldness.
Everyday Health reported that Minoxidil could “help stop the hair loss in its tracks.”
They continued: “In some cases, it can even help regrow new hair. However there are disadvantages to using the medication, which comes as a topical lotion or foam, especially for women.”
Writing for Everyday Health, Clarissa Yang, MD, a dermatologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, warned it wouldn’t work in all cases.
“Minoxidil applied topically to the scalp only works if your hair loss is a result of female pattern baldness and not some other condition.”
