Starting in 1903 by Henry Ford and 11 investors, Ford has now become a household name whenever a topic about cars enters a conversation. The Ford Corporation started building its vehicles in Detroit, also known as the “Motor City.” The first car they ever built was named Model A, and after 5 years, in 1908, they introduced Model T, which became a huge success and pushed them inside the vehicle business. After that, Ford started building cars that families could use for daily means.
But, as Ferrari dominated the car game, Ford decided to enter Le Mans and prove that they could also build better and more powerful sports cars than Ferrari. Then Ford introduced the Ford GT40 in the 1960s, which became a four-time consecutive winner in the Le Mans.
Now in 2023, Ford has taken a few new initiatives and started to follow the revolution of electric vehicles. Ford has discontinued many vehicles that need gas to run and are now deciding to introduce better and environmentally friendly electric vehicles. The legendary Ford GT is also discontinued now, and the last line-up was produced in 2022 when only 250 cars were manufactured for the last time.
THE NEW LINE-UP: In 2023, as mentioned earlier, Ford introduced some new environmentally friendly vehicles that run on electricity. Some are hybrids, others are plug-in hybrids, and a few are electric. Here are the new electrified cars from the 2023 line-up:
- Maverick starting price from $22,595
- Escape ST-Line Elite Hybrid starting price from $37,960
- Escape Plug-In Hybrid starting price from $40,500
- F-150 starting price from $33,695
- F-150 Lightning starting price from $59,974
- E-Transit starting price from $49,575
- Explorer Limited starting price from $47,070
- Mustang Mach-E $45,995
Looks like Ford is not going to back off and will soon compete with most of the dominating company’s electric vehicles. Tesla, Kia, Hyundai, Audi, Renault, etc., are some of the leading companies producing electric vehicles, and Ford has the capability to win the crown as the best electric vehicle of the year. As a matter of fact, Ford has a lot of plans for the future, proving to the world why they are one the most popular car brands. Learn more about the new Ford vehicles and check out the cool features.
PLANS FOR FUTURE: Let’s face the truth: electric vehicles aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but they will soon. The potentiality that the idea of electric vehicles carries is very high. Electric vehicles can bring revolution to the vehicular industry. By the end of 2022, Ford has decided they will release a new range of cars and trucks which are driven by electricity, not petrol or diesel. Ford has even given itself a target that it will manufacture at least 600,000 electric vehicles by the end of 2023, and by the end of 2026, it will manufacture over 2 million electric vehicles.
The idea of driving an electric vehicle and the initiative of changing and saving the environment by not consuming its resources must deserve praise from everyone. Vehicles are a huge source of carbon emissions, and if vehicles don’t generate carbon emissions, just imagine how short amount of time it will take to get the Earth to feel clean and better.
