While some people choose apartments in Palm Jumeirah, UAE as an investment option, others try to find something out of this world. In our article we will present to you two projects that everybody is speaking about: one being a really affordable option, and the other being a dream in the middle of a desert.
Affordable housing in Dubai: new project launch 2023
In Dubai, according to information from one of the developer companies, a new Gardenia Livings project has been launched in the Arjan area, the cost of which will be AED 150 million, or USD 40.84 million. It is noted that the new project will be presented in the form of a large residential building of 7 floors, and offering all the classic amenities.
The project is going to be located on an area of more than 5,185 square meters, which will accommodate 156 apartments, including
- 90 apartments with 1 bedroom
- and 66 apartments with 2 bedrooms.
According to the developer, the project is scheduled to be put into operation in April-June 2023, and is going to correspond to the concept of a sophisticated lifestyle in Dubai.
The building, surrounded by lush greenery, will offer residents a comfortable living environment. In addition, the architecture of all apartments are planned to be world-class, including the exquisite interiors of 15 1-bedroom apartments and 11 2-bedroom apartments, which is going to create the most comfortable space and a sense of luxury.
Along with this, a platform for various events for two hundred people is provided on the roof of the building. Also, the residents of the new project will be offered various amenities such as a fitness room, a barbecue area, a multifunctional roof, a sports hall and others.
Why Dubai wants to build an annular skyscraper
The architecture of Dubai can surprise even the worldly traveler. Let’s not forget the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world at the moment. But in the UAE they do not stop there and present very futuristic projects. The designers of the architectural studio Znera Space have developed the concept of an unusual ring-shaped skyscraper, which they plan to place in the center of Dubai.
Znera Space thinks broadly and globally, they have already developed an innovative concept of 100 meter buildings for cleaning the air from smog with nanofilters in the center of the Indian city of Delhi. And recently they proposed an ambitious concept “Downtown Circle” to expand living space in the center of the city. The ring will be located at an altitude of 550 meters, and the same Burj Khalifa (828 meters high) will look out from the center of the skyscraper.
The global goals of the project are clear – in addition to attracting capital and tourists, it is to add another skyscraper in the densely built-up city center, but placing it horizontally. And the coronavirus pandemic prompted designers to develop a new type of skyscraper.
The planned diameter of the ring is three kilometers, it will be placed on five powerful pillars. Elevators and communications will be placed in them. The main ring is going to be be divided into two diameters by a green park with Skypark ponds to create a natural ecosystem for the population.
The project has a peculiarity, the vertical skyscraper is highly “torn off” from the surface of the earth, so there must be a high level of self-sufficiency. To do this, it is planned to conduct their own agriculture, collect rainwater, use the energy of the sun and filter the city air. And to move residents inside, special trains with a ring route and a speed of 100 km per hour will be used.
There are a lot of amazing projects coming from the Saudis lately. Will this one be implemented? Only time will show.
